| Training
Canoe training meets at Monterey State Beach, located on Del Monte Avenue across from El Estero Park, next to Monterey Bay Kayaks. Look for the white canoes in front of Monterey Canoe and Kayak, under the huge eucaplytus tree.
New paddlers of all ages are welcome. Practice times are listed below. Feel free to drop in for Sprint practice. You will be asked to complete a waiver and are welcome to try paddling free for two weeks. If after two weeks you decide to join the club, membership dues will apply. Membership dues are paid annually and include instruction and the use of the canoes and paddles.
See Enrollment for current dues and a copy of the waiver. Dress in clothes that you do not mind getting wet and bring something warm to put on after.
