Congratulations! What a wonderful day we have had at this last regatta. The weather started off a little dim but it turned out to be a great day.
The surprise of the regatta was that Ke Kai O'Uhane won 3rd place in the AA "large" Club Division. This was in part to ALL of our paddlers, coaching staff, our founders, and supporters who cheered for all the crews.
As usual, our keiki crews went home with the vast majority of the medals; they certainly "represented" Ke Kai on the waters
despite paddling in a canoe that weighed in at 450lbs (the 2nd heaviest at the regatta).
Our Sprint Coach sends his gratitude and appreciation to the following paddlers who

filled in some vacant seats during the race: Marlene, Glen, Jamie, Josh, Dena, Mick, Paula, Mary Jane, Jan, Michael, Milo, Joi and Denise. Your presence made it possible to accumulate points for Ke Kai.
Mahalo to Uncle Darriel who prepared the BBQ and rice for everone to enjoy and to Aunty Iris and Aunty Loy for arranging our kitchen for us.
A special MAHALO goes out to Aunty Sandy for keeping us straight as the Race Clerk. We certainly owe her alot for her dedication and organization skills.
I also want to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the families, it is because of your support and behind the scene efforts that makes it all possible...with the good and bad, we are one...OHANA.
